SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Florida (CBS4) - A helicopter carrying two peoplecrashed in a Southwest Miami-Dade parking lot Wednesday afternoon.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials tell our sister station CBS4 News that the choppercrashed near the intersection of130 Street & 124 Avenue just after 4p.m.

Aerial footage shows two bodies covered in yellow tarps.

Witnesses say the helicopter came down in a parking lot after clipping a palm tree.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Kathleen Bergen saidtheRobinson R44 helicopter had just taken off from Tamiami Airportbefore it crashed.

This is the second deadly crash in South Florida over the past month. Back in March, a plane crashed into a parking lot shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, killing all three people on board.
