Spring Hill, Florida -- Hernando County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a home after a man called 9-1-1 saying "his phone told him to call."

Deputies went to the Spring Hill residence shortly after the call was made Tuesday night, where they made contact withAnthony Edington... who was actually across the street in a neighbor's driveway.

According to reports, deputies immediately smelled alcohol on Edington's breath. Edington admitted he had just been released from prison and was wearing a GPS monitoring device that was malfunctioning.

He also allegedly told deputies that he "drank a few beers while he was socializing" at the neighbor's house.

Deputies say Edington, was on probation, and required not to use or be in possession of alcohol or intoxicants of any type. He was also under a mandatory curfew that confined him to his residence between the hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., except for work, treatment needs and religious and educational activities.

Edington was arrested for violating his probation and transported to the Hernando County Detention Center.
