IHOP's newest menu addition triggered the 10 News Taste Testers to seek out a sampling...and let's just say this breakfast may not have been their "most important meal of the day", but it was definitely their best...

Not one taster could come up with a negative word in relation to the restaurant's new "Brioche French Toast", offered in these three flavors as of Monday, April 15:

The Banana's Foster Brioche French Toast, described by our team as so delicious, it's "almost sinful", involves a plate full of thick brioche bread dipped in vanilla batter, grilled to perfection and then layered with sliced bananas (which are caramelized in a buttery, brown sugar glaze) and whipped topping.

While it is trulydelectable, "almost sinful" may have been an appropriate description! Nutritional facts on IHOP's site reflect the three-piece portion to contain 980 calories, 59 grams of sugar and 48 grams of fat. Click here for additional facts.

The Berry Berry Brioche was also "very good"; one tester even called it his favorite French toast flavor.

Like the others, this meal is made up of the thick brioche bread dipped in vanilla batter and tossed on the grill, but it's topped with blueberries, strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream.

IHOP's site shows this option is slightly healthier than the others with 770 calories, 40 grams of sugar and 29 grams of fat.

The last flavor offered in IHOP's new French toast trio is thePeaches & Cream Brioche.

It'smade with the same toast, but topped with sliced peaches, honey-roasted pecans, a vanilla cream drizzle and whipped cream, and had Kip calling it "perfect".

As far as nutrition, this meal falls in the middle of the tasty toast variations. IHOP's site shows the meal has 880 calories, 59 grams of sugar and 37 grams of fat.

Each option ranges in price from $4.99 to $7.99, and can come as a part of the restaurant's various combos. The Taste Testers felt this was fair for the amount of food included.

Bottom line: 10 News Taste Testers say those with a sweet tooth should definitely think "Brioche" for breakfast sometime soon!
