A 7-year-old Oklahoma boy died in a house fire last week after he was left home alone by his parents. Police say someone kicked in the front door of his home and set it on fire, while they were gone.
There's no law against leaving a child home alone, so now the parents might not face charges in his death.
In Florida there's no rule about when children can be left home alone, but the department of children and families recommends that kids not be left alone before the age of 12.
