Brandon, Florida -- Early Sunday morning, a man robbed a Steak 'n Shake and fled from deputies.

Shortly before 7 a.m. on June 23, Allan Stinson walked into the Steak and Shake on Brandon Blvd. and robbed the cashier at gun point. He then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of crash.

Several minutes later, a deputy searching the area spotted the suspect getting into a vehicle. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle but Stinson drove away point a handgun at them.

A pursuit ensued that lasted approximately 10 minutes through Brandon area roadways. Eventually, the Aviation Unit became involved and assisted in the pursuit so deputies could maintain a safe distance and avoid being shot at.

The pursuit ended when the Stinson's vehicle left the roadway and rolled over, landing upside down. Stinson managed to crawl out of the wreckage and run into a small pond. Deputies were able to pull Stinson out of the water and arrest him.

Stinson is also a suspect in an overnight robbery of a Hungry Howies in Brandon.
