Is it ever good for a marketing campaign to promote something by saying, "Well, it's the sign of the times" or, introduce young children to a controversial topic just because there's an "epidemic?"
Evidently, Sesame Street thinks so.
In 2002, it was an Aids puppet, 2005 a diet issue segment aired with Oscar; in 2011 we met a hunger puppet, but also took on the topic of bullying. In 2012, Sesame Street had a divorce puppet and now, it's a jailed puppet.
