An unseasonably deep trough across the southeastern United States will continue to pump in tropical moisture from the Gulf, resulting in numerous rounds of rain and storms across the Tampa Bay area through Wednesday

With the possibility of training storms, localized flooding will be a concern over the next few days. There will also be dangerous rip currents at our local beaches with the strong onshore flow.

Thursday (July 4th)will be a transition day as a strong upper level ridge over the Atlantic builds west across Florida. This will return us to a more typical summertime pattern with less widespread showers and storms throughout the day.

As our winds turn southeasterly, the west coast seabreeze will develop near the beaches, and stay mainly along and west of I-75.
