The weather will be similar today with highs near 92 and scattered showers and storms. There is a little more moisture to work with today so rain chances will be up to 40%, but not everyone sees a storm. The best chance will be along and west of I-75 this afternoon where the seabreeze will be located. Rain chances of similar tomorrow with a slight increase in afternoon storms on Thursday.

Tropical Storm Chantal is passing north of Barbados this morning with 50 mph winds mainly north of the center. It is forecast to strengthen to nearly 65 mph winds over the next two days as it moves quickly across the Caribbean. By Thursday it will be turning more NW and crossing Hispaniola. This interaction with land plus some wind shear aloft in that area will act to weaken Chantal. The NHC forecast calls for it to weaken to 45mph winds then emerge in the southern Bahamas and begin to restrengthen through Saturday. Long range models forecast a left turn for Chantal late Saturday that would bring it ashore near Melbourne and continue west toward Tampa. Long range track forecasts and especially intensity forecasts have large errors so let's wait and see what happens. We will keep you updated along the way and let you know when this is something to worry about. Stay tuned!
