We will once again see waves of showers and a few storms roll in from the northwest. Highest rain chances will be Tampa north where the rain will be heavy at times. Highs will top out once again in the upper 80s to near 90 with very muggy conditions. In fact, heat index values will range from 95-105 this afternoon.

Tropical Update: Tropical Depression Four formed by 5 a.m. this morning followed by a quick strengthening to Tropical Storm Dorian by the 11 a.m. update. The storm is currently over 80F degree water, but the forecast path taking WNW over the next several days will take it over some water in the mid to upper 70s and through some dry air. Later in the forecast, the storm will encounter some wind shear as well. All of these argue against much strengthening and the current NHC forecast recognizes this keeping winds near 50mph through much of the extended forecast.

Tropical Storm Dorian is almost 3,500 miles from Tampa so we have plenty of time to watch it!
