Sarasota, FL - Sarasota deputies say they've arrested a man in connection to the death of a restaurant manager.

Juan De Dios Rodriguez, 20,of Bradenton is charged with manslaughter. Our news partnerWWSB reportsRodriguez has aviolent criminal history and is a documented gang member.

Andrew Tian was beaten on Sunday, July 14 after running out of the New Dynasty Chinese Buffet at 6131 South Tamiami Trail. Customers found the 51-year-old lying unconscious in the driveway of a business next door. Investigators believe Tian was chasing three men who left the restaurant without paying for their $35 meal.

Tian was rushed to the hospital and was in a coma for days before he died on July 19 due to his injuries.

Detectives say all three men have been identified. Two of them say Rodriguez threw only a single punch, but it was enough to knock Tian to the ground, causing serious head trauma that led to his death. The two other men are considered witnesses in the case.

Rodriguez is currently being held in the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
