TAMPA, Florida -- A Hillsborough County deputy was involved in a crash on Saturday, August 24.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, 67-year-old Taretha Wilson was traveling south on 56th Street and was turning left into the parking lot of the Golden Corral when she turned into the path of Deputy John Clark.
Deputy Clark reportedly struck the passenger side of Wilson's car, causing it to flip onto its roof.
Wilson was freed from the vehicle by Hillsborough County Fire and taken to Tampa General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Deputy Clark, a 20-year veteran of the Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office, was taken to Florida Hospital and medically cleared.
