Tampa, Florida -- Three suspects worked together to steal a ring valued at $79,000 from Old Northeast Jewelers in International Mall.
The first two suspects entered the the store as a couple who asked to see a watch from the front display case containing the diamond ring. The salesman removed the watch, but left the case unlocked.
While the couple distracted the salesman, a third suspect approached the case and removed a 6.048 carat estate diamond, set in an 18k white gold band with a pear-shaped blue sapphire on both sides. The ring is valued at $79,900.
As soon as he removed the ring the suspect covered the ring with his jacket and exited the store. The couple left soon after.
The suspects are described as:
- Black female, approximately 6 feet, 260 lbs, long black curly hair, wearing black tight pants, patterned shirt and white sneakers
- Black male, 5'8", 170 lbs, wearing a white button-down long sleeve, dark blue tie, dark dress pants
- Black male, 5'6", 170lbs, wearing a white polo shirt, dark pants and carrying a gray jacket
