Tampa, Florida -- Despite holding a halftime lead, the Bucs fell to 0-5 on the season, as they fell victim to the Eagles' fast-break offense, 31-20.

The Bucs had an opportunity to take the lead with an 89-yard drive early in the 4th quarter. But the drive stalled, and they had to settle for a Rian Lindell field goal to make it a 21-20 Eagles' lead.

Two big plays by quarterback Nick Foles quickly put the Eagles up by 8 points -- a 45-yard pass to Riley Cooper followed by a 36-yard touchdown to DeSean Jackson. It was 28-20 Eagles.

They finished with a 24-yard field goal from Alex Henery, to make the final 31-20 Eagles.

QB Nick Foles was 22-31 passing for 296 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown.

Bucs' QB Mike Glennon was 26-43 passing for 273 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception.

Gashed on the first play of the game, the Buccaneers began the showdown with the Eagles fighting an uphill battle.

Philadelphia struck on the contests opening possession when quarterback Nick Foles ran for a four-yard touchdown up the middle, capping an 85-yard drive.

The Bucs offense could do very little with their first possession, going three and out, punting the ball back to Philadelphia.

On the Eagles second offensive series, LeSean McCoy had the ball jarred loose by Dekoda Watson, and was recovered by Darrelle Revis giving the Bucs the ball on the Eagles' 40-yard line.

The turnover translated into points for the home team when Rian Lindell kicked a 38-yard field goal. Heading in to the second quarter the Bucs trailed the Eagles 7-3.

In the second quarter, Glennon drove Tampa Bay 39 yards down the field connecting with Vincent Jackson on a 24-yard touchdown pass giving the Bucs the lead 10-7.

But the Eagles would counter, on a 8 play drive when Foles hit a wide open Desean Jackson in the back of the endzone, putting Philly back in front 14-10.

Down but not out, Tampa Bay recaptured the advantage when Glennon hit Vincent Jackson again, this time from a yard out for a touchdown placing the Bucs infront once again 17-14. That is the score at the half.

The Bucs started off the third quarter guns blazing with Glennon hitting Tim Wright on a 34-yard pass on the opening play of the half. But the momentum quickly shifted when the Tampa Bay rookie quarterback threw his third interception of the season to Bradley Fletcher.

Philadelphia took the turnover and translated it into a 47-yard touchdown pass from Foles to Riley Cooper. The Clearwater Central Catholic High School and University of Florida alum, gave the Eagles a 21-17 lead going in to the fourth quarter.
