MIAMI, Florida (CBSMiami) -The National Hurricane Center reported around 10:30 a.m. that system they were tracking in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean had developed a center of circulation and declared it Tropical Depression 13. By 5 p.m. the storm strengthened just enough to be named Tropical Storm Lorenzo.

At5 a.m., the center of the system was about725 miles east of Bermuda. It had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph as it continues to move to the north-northeast at8 mph.

Some slight strengthening is expected over the next day or so, before it will likely weaken by Wednesday.

The storm is not affecting any land, so there are no watches or warnings posted for it.
