Webster (formerly known as Billy) is one of the dogs who Suncoast Animal League rescued from the Panhandle area puppy mill last month. He is a Shih Tzu mix who is about 2 yrs old and weighs about 7 lbs.

He grew up in terrible conditions at the puppy mill, never leaving his small, dirty wire cage, but he has made a lot of progress in the last few weeks at his foster home. He is still getting used to his new life and would be happiest in a low key environment, perhaps a retired individual who is home for a majority of the day, so he can be their constant companion.

He loves to snuggle on the couch and never barks. He is friendly with other small dogs, but larger dogs and small children make him nervous. Webster is not at all aggressive, he just becomes nervous when approached by a young child and runs to hide. He is such a sweet, gentle little man and is so deserving of a forever home!

He is crate trained and working on housebreaking. He's been neutered, microchipped and is up-to-date on shots.

Webster is currently living with a foster family, so to schedule a meet & greet, please call the Suncoast Animal League office at 727-786-1330.
