Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Fire Rescue crews are working to mop up a fire at a recycling business that broke out Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters found a large trash fire at the RockTenn Corporation on N. 26th Street burning dangerously close to an on-site facility warehouse and they immediately requested a 2nd alarm.

Approximately 60 firefighters were on scene working to control the flames. Tampa Fire Rescue says the fire originated in a pile of recyclables in a secured area of the facility.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. However, authorities tell 10 News they believe the trash spontaneously combusted. Crews will remain on scene well into the night to ensure the flames do not rekindle.

There are no reported injuries. Damages are estimated to be $150,000.
