Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Julian Jacobs scored 16 points in leading the USC Trojans to a 78-62 win over the Boston College Eagles in a non-conference matchup at the Galen Center.
Jacobs also had team-highs in rebounds (eight) and assists (five) for USC (6-3). Nikola Jovanovic finished with 15 points, Pe'Shon Howard and Roschon Prince each added 14 and Byron Wesley tallied 12.
Ryan Anderson scored 13 points and Joe Rahon and KC Caudill each netted 11 for Boston College (3-6).
The teams were tied 32-32 at halftime. The Trojans shot only 38.2 percent from the field but did have nine more field goal attempts than the Eagles, who turned in a 48 percent shooting effort.
After the break the Trojans got into a rhythm, netting 58.3 percent from the field, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. The Eagles also recorded four 3- pointers but on 20 attempts while shooting just 29.4 percent from the floor overall to give up the decision.
USC enjoyed a 44-27 advantage on the boards.
