Miami, Florida (AP) --Two Miami-Dade Police officers shot in a manhunt after the shooting of another officer have been released from the hospital.
Police Deputy Director Juan Perez says the two officers suffered minor injuries when they each were shot in the arm early Tuesday. The officers had been pursuing two subjects wanted in the shooting of another officer earlier in the morning.
Detective Alvaro Zabaleta says the first officer who was shot remained hospitalized in stable condition. The two officers shot in the arm were treated and released.
Police say the first officer was shot after responding to a call about shots fired at a trailer park.
The officer's patrol car was stolen and abandoned in Hialeah. Two suspects acquired another car and were pursued by police. Officers fatally shot both suspects.
