Tampa- After just one season, Bulls' head coach Willie Taggart has fired offensive coordinator Walt Wells and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan.

Taggart said in a statement released by the University of South Florida,"I would like to thank Walt and Nick for their hard work and dedication to the USF football program," Taggart said. "I appreciate their professionalism and service to USF and wish them the best in their future endeavors."

Wells and Sheridan joined Taggart in his initial season at USF, coming with the first-year head coach from his staff at Western Kentucky.

USF finished 108th in the nation in passing offense, finishing the season averaging 166.8 yards per game.

Mired in inconsistent quarterback play, the Bulls finished the season in the lower half of the American Athletic Conference with a 2-10 record.

Taggart is already pursuing new options for the two vacated positions.
