Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit has announced it has six new Victory motorcycles to aid in their work on the streets.
The Victory motorcycles are versatile and allow deputies the ability to work in various environments a patrol car might not fit into, such as parades and special events with large crowds.
The bikes are also more fuel-efficient and are fully equipped for traffic enforcement with a computer and everything the deputy needs to respond to calls. With events like Epiphany and the upcoming Kumquat Festival, these motorcycles will be of great use in traffic enforcement.
Each bike was paid for with Penny For Pasco funds and cost a total of $30,000 each. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is grateful to the citizens of Pasco which allowed them to purchase the bikes and offer even better protection and service to the community.
