TOWN OF BYRON, Wis. - Monroe County sheriff's deputies say they used footprints to track down a man spotted walking naked in the snow in freezing temperatures.
The sheriff's department got a call about the man in the Town of Byron about 4 p.m. Thursday. The Wisconsin Department of Natural and Oakdale firefighters joined in the search.
They were able to track his bare footprints in the snow and noticed he was also bleeding. Authorities say the man was found near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
