BRADENTON, Florida (AP) -A police report says that a car accident that killed three pedestrians in Bradenton doesn't appear to be alcohol related.
The Florida Highway Patrol report says the driver of the car was 79-year-old Doreen Landstra of Palmetto, Fla.
The FHP says Landstra backed her car in a parking lot at the Sugar Creek Country Club, located inside a mobile home park where church services were taking place.
She struck a crowd of pedestrians. MargaretVanderlaan, Paul Wilhemina, and Johanna Dijkhoff were killed.Five others have been hospitalized. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The car came to a stop in a lake adjacent to the clubhouse. Landstra was not injured.
The report indicates that a decision hasn't been made whether Landstra will face charges, pending further investigation.
