(USA TODAY) Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman bequeathed all of his personal property to the mother of his three children, according to what his will revealed today.

The late Oscar winner's last testament was filled in Manhattan Surrogate Court and made public Wednesday. It names costume designer Marianne "Mimi" O'Donnell as the sole beneficiary and identifies her as his "friend and companion."

The Oscar-winning actor died Feb. 2 at his New York City home in an apparent heroin overdose.

TheNew York Postput a copy of the will on its website.

TMZ reported it, too, obtained acopyof the 2004 will, produced at a time when the couple had only one child, Cooper, now 10.

In the will, Hoffman requests that his son be raised in New York City so he can be exposed to its culture, arts and architecture. If that's not possible, then he should be raised in Chicago or San Francisco.

"It is my strong desire ... that my son Cooper Hoffman, be raised and reside in or near the borough of Manhattan," the will says, according to the New YorkDaily News.

Los Angeles, where Hoffman spent a good deal of time as a major movie actor, was not mentioned.

The documents filed in court, as is common, do not state the estimated value of Hoffman's estate. But it set up a trust for Cooper, which he will inherit in full when he turns 30. Hoffman intended the money to be used to pay for Cooper's "education, support, health and maintenance," according to the will.

After the will was written, Hoffman and O'Donnell had two more children, daughters Talluhla, now 7, and Willa, 5.
