Hillsborough, Florida -- Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The crash occurred on North Florida Ave. and Fletcher Ave. as a Ford truck was traveling northbound on Florida Avenue. The 64-year-old pedestrian was standing on the sidewalk shoulder and began to cross the street when he was hit by the truck and died on scene.
Florida Highway Patrol will be conducting the investigation while HCSO with traffic control.
The northbound lanes of Florida Avenue were closed as a result of the crash and subsequent investigation but are now reopen.
