Tampa, Florida-- You can see some big name sports stars from the Bucs, Rays and Yankees walking the runway at the Pediatric Cancer Foundation's Fashion Funds the Cure eventthis weekend.
The celebrities may catch your eye, butwe promise the kids will steal the show.
The girls walking with their celebrity escorts are either battling cancer or they have beaten it.
The event not only celebrates their strength and courage, but it also raises money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, a non-profit group that has the highest rating on Charity Navigator and Guidestar, as 86 percent of raised funds go to children's cancer research.
You can join Heather Van NestSaturday night at 6:30 p.m. for Fashion Funds the Cure at the Tampa International Jet Center. Enjoy food from top restaurants, drinks and encourage the girls and young women as they walk the runway.
Heather Van Nest will emcee the event along with the fabulous, Carson Kressley--popular TV star, fashion designer and celebrity stylist.
Tickets are $100.

-How many people are expected? 750
-How much money do you hope to raise? We hope to raise more than $400,000, including $150,000 the night of the event...$150,000 will fund 15 children on one of our clinical trials.
-How does this event help kids in our area? Fashion Funds the Cure benefits the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, which is a nonprofit located in Tampa Bay dedicated to funding research to find less toxic, more targeted therapies for children battling cancer.
-Who are some of the big names we'll see on the runway w/ the kids? In addition to Carson Kressley and Heather Van Nest emceeing the event, celebrities will escort the girls battling cancer down the runway. Escorts include Alex Cobb, Brandon Gomes, Matt Joyce, and Jake McGee from the Tampa Bay Rays; Vincent Jackson and Dekoda Watson from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; former MLB player Tino Martinez; and Brian McCann from the New York Yankees.
-How much are tickets? Tickets are $100 and can be purchased at the door.
-What can people expect? Fashion Funds the Cure is an event where hopes and dreams take flight. Held at the Tampa International Jet Center, girls battling cancer will make their debuts on the runway escorted by local celebrities. Guests will enjoy fine wines and hors d'oeuvres from top area restaurants including Carmel Café and Wine Bar, 717 South, P.F. Chang's, and Seasons 52.
