St. Petersburg, Florida -- Anonprofit education initiative group encouraged kids to play to their own tune, while educating them about music Wednesday.

10 News was there as students at Brighton Preparatory School handled instruments - some for the very first time!

The New Music Conflagration group visits schools which lack in the music department. At this school, there is no program at all. Students say they are grateful for the experience.

"I want to learn it - Like it's something I've missed out on, haven't touched before and I'm like oh, I want to learn this," says8th grader Breanna Gardner.

The New Music Conflagration exists solely on donations.
