(USA TODAY)Afraid you're downing too many Starbucks lattes? A new app helps you keep track of your caffeine consumption.
Jawbone, the creators of the fitness band Up, launched the appUP Coffee for iOS devicesThursday that lets users monitor caffeine intake and its possible affect on their sleeping habits.
The free app starts by asking for gender, height, weight, your sensitivity to caffeine and your goal bed time. Using a giant beaker that fills up with each caffeine-filled beverage you consume, the app measures whether you are "Sleep Ready" or "Wired." A meter at the top left tracks whether the user is OK or Edgy.
The app offers a wide selection of caffeinated products, from brewed tea and coffee to soft drinks and even beverages from Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts.
Users can track their caffeine intake over the course of several days, and read facts about how caffeine affects the body.
