Tampa, FL-- ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Bucs are expected to release Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis on Wednesday. He cites league sources.
The Bucs have been trying to trade Revis without success so far. If the Bucs release Revis, it would save the team $16 million and enable the Bucs to keep their 3rd round draft choice in an unusually deep draft.
If Revis is on the roster Wednesday at 4 p.m., then the Bucs will also owe him a $1.5 million bonus.
