Siesta Key, Florida - If Spring is about growth, then business is blooming on Siesta Key.

"Season's been phenomenal," says Patricia Cain, General Manager of Tropical Breeze Resort on Siesta Key.

"It's definitely hectic," says Jackie Schaffel from Beach Bazaar.

And everywhere you look it's full, and good luck finding a parking space.

Stores like the Beach Bazaar in Siesta Key Village are full.

Jackie says, "Around three it gets busy, everyone coming in off the beach. As soon as the sun goes down, it's kinda nuts."

Customers are keeping sales people busy and cash drawers ringing for hotels too.

Patricia says, "2014 has been a really good year so far. We're up eight percent, year-to-date."

Two couples enjoying a beer and the view from The Beach Club are from Toronto, Canada and glad to be wearing shorts and t-shirts.

"We have three feet of snow and it's minus 30 in Toronto," says Gerry Mathe.

Joanne and Chris Price moved to Siesta Key from Toronto last year and now their friends Gerry and Heather Mathe are looking for a home.

Joanne says, "We love the arts, we love the beach, we love the people. We're having a great time."

When you head out to Sarasota's beaches, pack some patience along with that beach towel and cooler because traffic is heavy.

"Traffic is crazy," says Jackie. Merchants say customers often complain about the car ride on to the key. "Car ride can take you an hour and half," says Gabbi.

It's the kind of waiting visitors don't mind hanging out for.

Chris Price says, "Siesta Key is suppose to be fun it's the happening spot. The traffic is good for business."

The height of the season is just beginning as more spring breakers head south.
