I grew up in Alexandria, Minnesota. and some Mid-West values of hard-work, modesty, and a fondness for hot-dish stick with me. After high school, I studied at the University of Minnesota, where I received a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
My first reporting/anchor job was at WDAZ-TV in Grand Forks, North Dakota. One word: Brrrrr! In 1987 I ventured south to the Tampa Bay area, where I was first a reporter and anchor at WTOG-TV and I have been happily reporting at WTSP's 10 News since 1999.
I am blessed to have been honored professionally by several organizations. I've received several Emmy, Regional Murrow, and Associated Press awards.
My family comes first, and my husband and middle school-aged son keep me busy. I play violin in the Suncoast Symphony and dabble at the piano at home. I'm also an animal lover and enjoy riding horses at a local stable.
I love the beautiful, natural environment that we are all so fortunate have all around us. I never get tired of seeing a dolphin jump or a blazing orange sunset over Tampa Bay or the Gulf.
