WTSP 10 News and the Tampa Bay Times will partner with the University of South Florida to present a statewide televised gubernatorial debate this fall.

The Oct. 7 debate will be broadcast live on most CBS stations throughout Florida, as well as WTLV, the NBC affiliate in Jacksonville. The debate will also be streamed live on wtsp.com. It will be held in the USF Music Concert Hall on the Tampa campus, and sponsored by AARP. Candidates will be invited to participate based on polling results following the primary election in August.

"10 News looks forward providing this opportunity for the candidates to debate the issues and allow voters to make an informed choice," said Elliott Wiser, 10 News President and General Manager. "We believe this debate provides a lot of value to our viewers and we are pleased to partner with the Tampa Bay Times on this important event."
