PHILADELPHIA (CBS) The initial investigation into a food truck explosion early Tuesday evening points to a propane tank, CBS Philadelphia reports.

Ten people were hurt when the vending truck exploded an caught fire. Authorities said two of the injured were critically burned.

It happened in North Philadelphia, in the Feltonville section of the city, near the intersection of Third and Wyoming Streets.

According to initial reports, a 40-year-old woman suffered third degree burns to nearly one hundred percent of her body.

A 25-year-old woman reportedly suffered second and third degree burns to nearly 100 percent of her body.

A 33-year-old man also suffered first degree burns. They were rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center. There is no word on their conditions at this time.

Nine people have reportedly been taken to the hospital for observation.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion and seeing flames come from the truck. Some people told police the force of the blast blew some victims from the truck.
