FORT LEE, Va. (WTVR) — UPDATE: All clear given at Fort Lee Army base in Virginia where active shooter had been reported.
Fort Lee, an Army post in Central Virginia, is on lockdown Monday morning amid reports of an active shooter.
"Active shooter incident reported at CASCOM HQ, Bldg. 5020," states a tweet sent out from the post around 9:30 a.m. "All personnel enact active shooter protocols immediately."
The installation has been placed on lockdown until further notice, reads a Facebook post.
CBS 6 News is being told that alarms are being sounded across the base.
Fort Lee is a census-designated place in Prince George County.
