1. Michael Sam heads to Dallas Cowboys headquarters, could sign with team

Sam will travel to Dallas Wednesday to undergo a physical at the NFL franchise's headquarters – a step closer to rejoining the NFL. On Aug. 30, Sam was cut from the St. Louis Rams and seemingly lost his shot to make history as the league's first openly gay player, but he could get another chance. 2. Samsung hosts 'Unpacked' event to unveil latest technology

Are you ready for Samsung's latest? The tech giant will host its twice-a-year event Wednesday in New York, Beijing and Berlin simultaneously and, in its typical fashion, is expected to unveil the latest version of its Galaxy Note "phablet." In the event held earlier this year, the company revealed its newest Galaxy S5 smartphone.

3. Parents of boy with tumor will address news media after U.K. drops warrant against them

Brett and Naghemeh King will hold a news conference in Seville, Spain, Wednesday after the United Kingdom dropped charges on them for seeking medical treatment for their son without a doctor's consent. The parents brought their 5-year-old son Ashya to Spain in hopes of getting a new radiation treatment for his brain tumor. The Telegraph reports that the Kings intend on suing British authorities for "criminal slander and false imprisonment."

4. Garth Brooks ends 13-year hiatus with comeback single People Loving People

Get ready to yee-haw, country fans! Garth Brooks will return to country radio Wednesday with debut single People Loving People off his yet-to-be-titled album – his first since 2001. Brooks, who has sold 134 million albums, has said the album may be available around Thanksgiving and will be sold digitally via his website. Thursday following the song's radio release, the country crooner will embark on the first stop of his world tour in Chicago.

5. 'The Lion King' celebrates its 7,000th Broadway performance

Can you feel the love tonight? The Disney-classic-turned-musical will celebrate its 7,000th stage performance Wednesday – when the cast isn't off singing on subway trains.
