Detectives are currently looking into three other cases that occurred this week where women reported an individual matching the suspects description.
Tampa, Florida -- A man accused of exposing himself to a woman and threatening to sexually assault her was arrested early Tuesday morning as deputies say it appeared he was in the act of trying to attack another woman. They now believe Thomas Foss may have more victims.
Deputies say Foss' victim was sitting in her vehicle waiting for a tow around 3 a.m. in the Walgreens parking lot at Bloomingdale Avenue and Bell Shoals Road when Foss walked up to her car and tried to open her door. The woman told police Foss then used sexually explicit language and threatened to rape her as he exposed himself to her.
The woman screamed, grabbed her phone and told Foss she was calling her husband and the police.
"9-1-1. Please! Help me! Please, there's a pervert out here bothering me all night. Please!" she pleaded with the 911 operator.
Foss got spooked and drove off in a red 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck she described to the operator.
When deputies arrived at the scene and searched the area, they found Ross' truck parked at the gas pumps at the Hess gas station at Bloomingdale Avenue and Lithia Pinecrest Road. When deputies walked into the store, the found the lone female clerk walking with Foss as they headed towards the entrance.
She told police Foss asked her if she would show him how to use the water outside and help him with his truck he told her was parked behind the store.
Foss was arrested and is currently being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail.
Detectives are currently looking into three other cases that occurred this week where women reported an individual matching Foss' description and driving a red pickup truck followed them around and, at times, asked if they would engage in sexual acts. They say they are also working closely with the USF Police Department who is currently investigating a similar case.
The sheriff's office says Foss has multiple prior arrests in the county, including one back in February last year for a similar offense to the one he was most recently arrested for.
Detectives believe there's a possibility that other victims may exist and are asking that anyone who may be a victim of Foss, or who may have any knowledge of his illicit activity to please contact the sheriff's office at 813-247-8200.
