Lehigh Acres, Florida (News-Press) -- Police say two people drove themselves to the hospital following a road rage incident in Fort Myers.
Fort Myers police received a call Wednesday afternoon from the Lee County Sheriff's Office about two gunshot victims. Shortly afterwards, police confirmed two victims had just arrived at the Lehigh Acres Regional Medical Center.
Police said David Pineda and Leah Rodriguez, were on Leonard Boulevard in Lehigh Acres when an altercation occurred between the victims and the occupants of a Chevy Malibu. The Malibu followed the victims into Fort Myers.
Near the intersection of Lee and State Road 82, the victims pulled over in an attempt to escape the suspects. The occupants of the Malibu pulled up to the victims' vehicle and more words were exchanged.
An occupant in the Malibu then fired several shots, striking both victims. The suspects fled, and the victims drove themselves to the hospital. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for a blue 2008-2012 model year Chevy Malibu occupied by four men.

More than a dozen units from the Fort Myers Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff's Office, including the Fort Myers crime scene van, set up a crime scene investigation just north of the Lee and S.R. 82 intersection.
Lt. Jay Rodriguez of the Fort Myers Police Department said that there were items found at that site. Officers walked up and down S.R. 82 looking for clues.
"Basically, what we are trying to determine right now is what exactly happened and where it exactly happened," Rodriguez said. He said the victims did not know the exact spot where the shooting took place.
