Pinellas Park, Florida-- His life on the lamb lasted less than 30 hours. A 16-year-old shackled at the wrists and ankles was taken to juvenile detention Wednesday.

STORY: Teens identified in violent attack on elderly man

"We got him, and we're looking for the other two," said Pinellas Park Police Sgt. Adam Geissenberger.

As the teen suspect stood surrounded by media cameras Wednesday evening, one question got a response.

"What do have to say to that 83-year-old man?" asked a reporter.

"I'm sorry for what I did to that man," said the suspect.

But the apology fell on the victim's deaf ears.

"I don't believe him," Charles Clark told 10 News.

Clark's life was turned upside down when cops say the 16-year-old stabbed and robbed him at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, and then returned Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. and stole his car.

Two accomplices, his 13-year-old brother Xavier Peterson and 16-year-old Jazmine Burney, remain on the loose.

Under our 10 News Crime Guidelines, we have identified the remaining juveniles suspected in this case because police need help tracking them down.

Clark's story so touched Tampa Bay, John's Key Shop change the locks on his apartment, and Walker Ford changed the locks on his recovered vehicle, both free of charge.
