SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they've arrested a student who stabbed another student at a South Florida high school.

A Sunrise police spokeswoman says the victim is being treated at a local hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

The attack happened in the gym at Piper High School. Both students attend the school. Their ages or grades were not immediately known.

Police say charges are pending.
