Tampa, Florida -- Tampa police have arrested a man suspected of burning the Animal Coalition of Tampa Saturday.

Police say Terrod Arrington went to the coalition several times last week and caused disturbances in the lobby, even pushing an employee.

On Saturday, when police officers responded to an intrusion alarm at the clinic, they found a dog in the parking lot and a fire in the office. They say it appears the suspect released the dog before setting the fire.

Three cats were killed in the fire.

A $6,000 reward was offered for information leading Arrington's arrest. Police say someone called 911 on Monday and notified officers of his location. He was taken into custody and is being interviewed at this time.

Arrington also has a warrant for his arrest in Maryland for aggravated assault, according to Tampa Police.

For those of you who want to help, Grimaldi's Pizzeria at Westshore Mall will be holding a Yappy Hour fundraiser for the animal clinic on Tuesday, April 22. The restaurant will be donating 50% of the day's proceeds to ACT.

"The loss of the Animal Coalition of Tampa's clinic is devastating to the community, especially to our neighbors who rely on the low-cost services that ACT provides," said John Boinis, area manager for Grimaldi's. "We hope this fundraiser is the first step for the staff and supporters of this non-profit organization as they begin their rebuilding effort."
