Port Richey, Florida-- Neighbors are relieved after a man accused of having sex with young girls and taking pictures of the acts is taken off the streets, thanks to a tip from a concerned resident.
It was 6:58 a.m. Thursday when a swarm of deputies moved in. The target: 63-year-old Frances Pfeffer.
Neighbor Juan Bodge set up security cameras outside his Port Richey home because Pfeffer gave him the creeps.
"He was always making lewd comments about my wife, sexual innuendos and a bunch of girls [were] going in and out of his home continuously," said Bodge.
Bodge informed deputies, and over a period of a couple of months, watched as scores of young girls would come and go from Pfeffer's residence. It was all caught on security cameras, and Bodge knew something was very wrong.
"I knew something was up when I saw a bunch of young women going in there. Sometimes staying for 15 minutes, sometimes hours," Bodge explained.
On Thursday morning, deputies came calling, and Bodge showed 10 News the security video of the arrest.
"This is the deputies coming with a door knocker," he described the footage. "Here, two deputies bring Pfeffer out of his home, and here he is being walked to the patrol car."
Pfeffer was arrested, and neighbors are say they are happy about that, "I'm relieved for the neighborhood because everybody on this street has kids. Just watching what was going in and out of there, I'm relieved about what is no longer living next door."
Pfeffer is being held at the Land O'Lakes detention center facing a slew of sex charges: unlawful sexual activity with a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, promoting sexual performance by a child, and possession of sexual performance by a child.
