Port Richey, Florida -- A Port Richey neighborhood is dealing with an ongoing drug problem and after a home invasion Wednesday night that turned violent, neighbors are asking the Pasco Sheriff's Office for help.

"It's just a sad state of affairs," says Regina Weilbacker, who has been living in her Embassy neighborhood home in Port Richey for 25 years and is fed up with the drugs and violence.

"And now I'm facing this kind of garbage," says Weilbacker referring to a man nearly driving through her home. Weilbacker took this photo of Anthony Capuano slumped over the steering wheel after police say he fled from a home he broke into.

Police believe he was going after drugs and say that homeowner shot him twice.

"The police came and it turned out there was a gun on the seat in the car and that he had been involved in a home invasion down the block. They should get out here, they know this house. It was terrifying it was absolutely terrifying."

10 News asked Sheriff Nocco: "What can the sheriff's office do to help them?"

"The biggest thing they can do to help us is give us information -- provide us with tips," explains Nocco.

"Now we're thinking about parking our cars at the end of the block where the drug house is and taking pictures of all the cars coming to buy drugs," Welbacker says.

Weilbacker says something needs to happen because this time, it was just too close to home.

"We're getting sick of it."

If you feel there is a drug problem in your Pasco County neighborhood, Sheriff Nocco urges you to give them an anonymous tip. You can do so through either of these links listed below:
