St. Petersburg, Florida -- Police are searching for two brazen car thieves who took off with a baby in the back seat... and then later dropped the infant off on the porch of a nearby home.
Investigators say the suspects stole the 2013 Toyota Highlander from a church parking lot on Sunday. The victims were unloading tables and chairs from their vehicle at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church located at 2580 12th Avenue South around 2:15. For about five minutes they went inside the church, leaving the vehicle unlocked with the keys in the ignition and the 10-month-old baby girl secured in a car seat.
During that brief window of time, two male teens entered the Highlander and drove away. A short time later, one of the suspects is seen on surveillance video, dropping the baby off on the doorstep of a home on 11th Avenue South, unharmed and still in her car seat.
