Clearwater, Florida -- The prosecution had strong words for the judge Wednesday during Julious Johnson's bond hearing in the deadly crash that killed crossing guard Doug Carey and injured Johnson's two children on Tuesday.
"One of the children, a four-year-old, was ejected from the vehicle. The defendant left his children there without concern for their well-being, or concern for them getting medical attention, and fled on foot," said the prosecutor.
Johnson faces charges which include leaving the scene of an accident causing death and aggravated child neglect.
The judge set bail at close to $500,00 and prosecutors say they're concerned Johnson may use drug money to post bail.
