The following foods, they say, are NOT to be put anywhere near the cold:

  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Avacado
  • Tomatoes
  • Bananas
  • Melon
  • Stone Fruits
  • Bread
  • Pastries
  • Hot Sauce
  • Spices
  • Honey
  • Peanut butter
  • Oils

And these foods below are "maybes" when it comes to refrigeration:

  • Apples
  • Coffee
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Condiments
  • Salad dressings
  • Soy sauce
