Spring Hill, Florida -- A Spring Hill couple with three kids was arrested at their home Thursday after police received a tip they were running a grow house operation.

When Hernando County deputies arrived at the home in the 10400 block of Tilburg Street they immediately smelled fresh marijuana and spotted the remains of marijuana cigarettes and drug paraphernalia.

A search of the home uncovered 33 pot plants in the master bedroom -- along with 19 root balls of already harvested plants -- nearly 800 grams of processed marijuana, 10 grams of Codeine tablets in an unlabeled prescription bottle, and a 9mm Glock semi-automatic handgun under the mattress.

The Department of Children and Families removed three children from the home and both Christopher and Lumary Morales were arrested.

Christopher, 34, was charged withPossession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,Possession of Structure for Manufacture of Controlled Substance with MinorPresent,Cultivation of Marijuana,Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell,Possession of Codeine,Child Neglect, andPossession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Lumary, 34, was charged withPossession of Marijuana,Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,Cultivation of Marijuana, andChild Neglect.
