Winter Haven, Florida -- A 19-year-old woman and her unborn baby were killed in a crash after police say a drunk driver slammed into the back of the van they were riding in Sunday night.

Witnesses reported to authorities they saw Thomas Dick's 2012 Dodge Ram driving recklessly on US Hwy 27 just before he rear-ended a Chrysler van with four people inside who were waiting at a red light.

The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S.27 and Cypress Gardens Boulevard around 10:19 p.m.

19-year-old Tiffany Ann Woodham, who was riding in the left rear passenger seat of the van at the time, suffered severe trauma during the crash. She died on the way to the hospital. An emergency C-section was performed in an attempt to save her baby girl, who was 9 months along, but she also died as a result of injuries.

Pamela Cheverier, 37, who was in the front passenger seat, was flown to LMRC with serious injuries.

Zachary Rowles, 22, who was in the right rear passenger seat was taken to Winter Haven Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van, 32-year-old Tawnya White, was also taken to Winter Haven Hospital and was treated for bruises and lacerations.

An initial toxicology revealed Dick has a Blood Alcohol Content of .131 -- almost twice the legal limit -- at the time of the crash. A blood sample was also taken from him, which was sent to the FDLE lab for analysis.

Further investigating also revealed Dick was driving at least 20 mph over the speed limit at the time of the crash, violating Florida's "Unlawful Speed" statute.

Dick, 27, of Oklahoma, is in police custody at an area hospital until he is released to the jail. He is being charged withtwo counts of Vehicular Homicide, two counts of DUI Manslaughter, two counts of DUI involving Serious Bodily Injury, DUI crash involving property damage and DUI.
