TAMPA, Florida (AP) - A Tampa Bay area man previously sentenced to death for killing his wife and stepdaughter has been convicted of their murders a second time.

A Hillsborough County jury found 69-year-old Khalid Ali Pasha guilty Friday of two counts of first-degree murder. The Tampa Bay Times reports that the panel will reconvene next month to recommend life in prison or the death penalty. A judge will make the final decision.

Authorities say Pasha, who represented himself at trial, fatally stabbed 43-year-old wife Robin Canady and 20-year-old Ranesha Singleton in 2002.

The Florida Supreme Court reversed Pasha's 2007 conviction and death sentence in 2010. The justices ruled the circuit judge in Pasha's previous trial had violated Pasha's constitutional right to represent himself rather than rely on a court-appointed lawyer.
