Wesley Chapel, Florida -- Four students were on board a school bus when it crashed into another car on State Road 56 at I-75 on Thursday afternoon.

The bus was leaving Wiregrass Ranch High School around 2:30 when it was involved in a collision with a Mazda 626.

None of the four students on board were hurt, but three people in the car, identified as James Yant, 56; Felicia Smith, 23; and Frederick Whiting, 27, were all hospitalized with serious injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol says based on preliminary information, the Mazda was traveling eastbound on SR-56 and turned left to get on the I-75 entrance ramp, crossing into the path of the bus that was traveling westbound.
