Dade City, Florida -- A woman was flown to Lakeland Regional Wednesday afternoon after police say a school bus rear-ended her car along Hwy 301 near Morningside Drive.

Sources at the scene say 61-year-old Patricia Austin was stopped at a red light on US 301 and Morningside Drive. The school bus, being driven by Bonita Mayle, ran a red light and hit her Smart Car from behind. After impact, the school bus then T-boned a Chevy Malibu killing 65-year-old Marion McDonald of Dade City.

Two children, ages 13 and 14, who were in McDonald's vehicle were taken to Florida Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as a precaution. Mrs. Austin was flown by Bay Flight to Lakeland Regional Hospital. Mayle and the male aide on board were not injured.
