Those that can't adopt can always foster an animal!
Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County – Pasco County Animal Services is bursting at the seams with adoptable dogs. The shelter is in need of caring individuals and families to take home wonderful pets.
"The shelter is currently over capacity for dogs and we need help now," said Animal Services Manager Mike Shumate. "We need individuals and families in our community to come out and provide good homes for these dogs. These dogs have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and have all their vaccinations. They are just waiting for a good home."
If you cannot adopt, then try fostering, which helps the dog in several ways. First, it gets them out of the shelter into a home environment for a while. And second, the foster family can provide great information on the dog's behavior outside the shelter for future adopters.
The Pasco County Animal Services Adoption Center is located at 19640 Dogpatch Lane in Land O' Lakes. The Adoption Center is open from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
